Jennie Sitler/Sittler b1July1859 Warren PA d25June1942 Norman Dent Co MO
Buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery Salem Dent Co MO
Married J. Wiley Blackwell
Father:  Jacob Sitler/Sittler born Germany or Holland
Mother: Elizabeth Wisner bWarren PA

I am interested in Jennie Sitler/Sittler Blackwells mother Elizabeth Wisner that lived in Norman Dent MO from the time Jennie was very young so they must have moved there in the early 1860's.  Jennie and her husband were living near my Wisner (showing on census as Wasner) family and I think they may be related.  My gggrandfather Jacob Wisner was born in 1822 in PA.  Jennies death certificate says her mother Elizabeth Wisner was born in Warren PA.

Thank you

I am searching for the EXACT location of the "Medlock Cemetery" located on the old Ira Chrisco farm in Rector. It is located on the site of the Old Gladden Valley Baptist Church which has long since disappeared. I was there a few years ago, walked all along the Gladden creek bottom on both sides of the road and into some of the hills on the Ira Chrisco farm and found pretty much nothing. I have a GPS receiver and the topographical map of the area. I would appreciate accurate directions to this cemetery as I will again be in the area in mid-July, 2009 and I will search again as my GGG Grandfather, David Medlock is buried there......

I am interested in the Skiles that were located in Dent Co. Missouri. Specifically Peter Skiles and Family as he is my gr. gr. gr. grandfather. I visited Mt Herman Cemetery and only found a handful of graves. I would be interested in knowing if there is a plot map or such that would specifically outline all burial plots of the Skiles in Mt Herman or elsewhere in the area. Any and all info you have in regards to the Skiles would be greatly appreciated.

Surnames: Taff, Bennett,

Posted: 09 Jul 2009

I’m looking for the gravesite of two of my direct ancestors who settled in Dent County in the mid 1800s.

George Washington Taff, married to Mary Rebecca (Bennett) Taff. George, a veteran of the War of 1812, died in Dent County on March 26, 1855. Mary died in Dent County October 3, 1854. Both have to be buried in Dent, but I can’t find them in any of the cemeteries listed on line. Anyone recognize the name or happen to have a Taff buried on the property somewhere?
Thanks,
John

I don't know any Plank from your area, but maybe you will know some names from the family. His father was Edward Plank, and his mother was Julia Alice Plank (Leddy).

U.S. Veteran Wesley (Wes) Plank, age 67, of Thornville, was welcomed into the open arms of Our Lord, after a long courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday February 7, 2006. He was born on March 17, 1938 to Edward and Alice Plank. He attended St. Mary’s (German Village) and Corpus Christi elementary schools, and graduated from Aquinas High School in 1956. After high school Wes was employed at Bonney-Floyd as a pattern maker, he joined the National Guard and was assigned to the 37th Infantry. He returned to Columbus and worked a few more years at Bonney-Floyd until 1968. Wes was employed and retired after 30 years from Elford, Inc., where he worked as a master carpenter and did service work around Columbus. Wes also enjoyed working at Muirfield Golf Club and Wedgewood Golf Club, where he had many friends. He was a one time member of The Knights of St. John and The Shamrock Club. Wes loved his gift of woodworking and shared it with others. He was a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Car mel at Buckeye Lake, where he served Our Lord as a Eucharistic minister and Our Lady’s carpenter. Wes is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Bonnie (Walsh); son John (Seng) Plank; daughters Kathy Spooner, Patty (Cal) Backus, Karen (Craig) Smith, Mary ( Butch) Murphy, and Theresa (Dave) Hard; grandchildren Kelly, Amber, Jason, Michael, Kaitlyn, Sara, Jacob, Justin, Erin, Ashley, Andrew, Tim, and Kristin; brothers Eddie (Goldie) Plank and Gary (Jean) Plank; brother-in-law Tom Walsh; sister and brother-in-law Rosemary and Jim Harrison; sisters-in-law Maryellen Corna and Daria Arbogast; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family will receive friends Friday 2-4 and 6-8pm at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home, 1068 South High Street. Prayer service 7:30 pm Friday. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 am Saturday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 5133 Walnut Rd. SE, Buckeye Lake, OH 43008. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery. Msgr. Frank J. Meagher celebrant. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel or Hospice of Licking County, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd., Newark, OH 43055
